Pension Finder - A Service Provided By Advice for Life Financial Planning
Do you have an unclaimed pension you have lost track of?
A staggering amount of pension cash is currently sitting and waiting to be claimed by its rightful owners, according to data from the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
With many people moving house numerous times in their lifetime, not to mention changing jobs, it's all too easy for pension pots to go missing along the way.
If you’re worried you’ve lost touch with a pension, Our in-house, free, no obligation Pension Finder service may be able to help.
SERPS (State Earnings Related Pension Scheme)
If you were employed from the 80’s through to around 2012 you would have been eligible to ‘opt out’ of SERPS. In many cases this could be done as simply as ticking a box and signing a form. If this was done, then part of your National Insurance contributions would then be re-directed into a private pension fund set up in your own name.
There were many pension companies able to accept these contributions at the time, however many have merged or been taken over and tracing your funds can often be difficult. That’s where Pension Finder from Advice for a Life can help... All we need is a few details about you to let us get the ball rolling, and we’ll do the rest.
Our Advisers will contact your previous pension schemes, along with getting in touch with HMRC to track down any SERPS pension contributions that you may have made. As soon as we hear back, we'll be in touch. If you would also like us to investigate any other pensions you have, let us know and we’ll make sure to investigate these for you as well.
Once we have all the information we need, we'll start a full investigation into your pensions, including how well they’re performing and what you're paying in charges. We can then look to see if we can find you something better.
